A VMware Horizon on-premises environment's Senior Administrator's team is attempting to update the golden image for an Instant Clone desktop pool which an administrator created a month before. The Senior Administrator's team is a member of the AD group "Horizon View Operators".

I thought they could just update permissions in the Horizon Console too?

Adding entitlements in Horizon won't fix the login issue.

Wait, can they really not log in at all? Seems odd.

They need to add permissions in vSphere Client.

I have a vague memory of DEM being mentioned, but I can't recall if it relates to updating the golden image. I feel like the vSphere Client option makes the most sense.

I think we practiced a question similar to this, and it was about managing permissions in the Horizon Console. Maybe that's what we need to do here?

I'm not entirely sure, but I feel like we also discussed something about entitlements in Horizon. Wouldn't that be more relevant to desktop pools?

I remember we talked about permissions in vCenter during our last study session. I think adding permissions for 'Horizon View Operators' in the vSphere Client might be the right move.

Okay, I've got an idea. I think the answer is to go to the vSphere Client and add the necessary permissions for the 'Horizon View Operators' group. That should give them the access they need to update the golden image.

I'm a little confused on this one. Is it something to do with the Horizon Console, or is it more of a vSphere issue? I'll need to review the details carefully.

Alright, I think I've got this. The key is to grant the 'Horizon View Operators' group the necessary permissions in vSphere. That should do the trick.

Okay, let's see here. I'm pretty sure the answer has to do with permissions, but I'm not sure exactly where I need to go to set them up.

Hmm, this seems like a tricky one. I'll need to think through the different options carefully to make sure I don't miss anything.

I'd like to see the 'Horizon View Operators' try to update the golden image with duct tape and a paperclip. That would be truly impressive!

D: I don't think duct tape and a paperclip will help in this situation.

I bet the Senior Administrator is wishing they had a crystal ball to see into the future and set up the permissions properly from the start. C'est la vie!

Option D is a trap! The Horizon Console is for managing Horizon, not vCenter. The answer is clearly A.

That makes sense, we need to make sure the team can access vCenter to update the golden image.

I'm not sure why they're having trouble connecting to vCenter. Shouldn't the 'Horizon View Operators' group already have the required permissions?
