A college is replacing its legacy system with the Education Data Architecture (EDA). The consultant is working on the data migration and needs to map available classes.

Which EDA object indicates a class is available for a given term?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

Course Offering is an EDA object that indicates a class is available for a given term. Course Offering is an object that represents a specific instance of a course that is offered during a term. Course Offering can be used to track various information about a class, such as name, code, capacity, faculty, location, or schedule. The consultant can create a Course Offering record for each class that is available for a given term and associate it with the Term object. Course Connection, Attendance Event, and Time Block are not EDA objects that indicate a class is available for a given term. Reference:

I’m a bit confused about Time Block. I thought it was more about scheduling rather than indicating class availability for a term.

I feel like Attendance Event is related to tracking participation, not really about class availability. So I’m leaning towards Course Offering as well.

I remember practicing a question about EDA objects, and Course Connection was mentioned. But I don't think that's the right one for this scenario.

I think the answer might be Course Offering, but I'm not completely sure. We discussed it in class, and it seems to fit the context.
