I'm not sure, but I think option D could also work. Having a failover policy for each subnet might simplify the setup.

I disagree, I believe option C is better. BGP provides more flexibility and control over routing.

C looks like the right answer to me. Using BGP for VIP LIFs is the way to go for complex networks across subnets.
