Question #: 11
Topic #: 8
[All AZ-400 Questions]

You plan to create a project in Azure DevOps. Multiple developers will work on the project. The developers will work offline frequently and will require access to the full project history while they are offline.

Which version control solution should you use?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

Git history: File history is replicated on the client dev machine and can be viewed even when not connected to the server. You can view history in Visual Studio and on the web portal.

Note: Azure Repos supports two types of version control: Git and Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC).

Subversion is outdated, right? Git is way better!

I'm a bit confused about TortotseSVN; I don't recall it being mentioned much in our studies. Is it even suitable for this scenario?

Subversion could be an option, but I feel like it doesn't handle offline access as effectively as Git.

I remember practicing with Team Foundation Version Control, but I don't think it supports offline work as well as Git does.

I think Git might be the best choice here since it allows for full project history offline, but I'm not entirely sure.

Hmm, this question seems a bit tricky. I'll need to carefully read through the details to understand what's happening with the delivery.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. I'll need to think carefully about the tradeoffs between the different deployment options and how they might impact rapid development.

Okay, I've got a strategy here. I think the key is to create users in each database and configure the firewall to only allow access from the appropriate users.
