[All AZ-104 Questions]

You have an Azure subscription named Subscription1 that is used be several departments at your company. Subscription1 contains the resources in the following table:

Another administrator deploys a virtual machine named VM1 and an Azure Storage account named Storage2 by using a single Azure Resource Manager template.

You need to view the template used for the deployment.

From which blade can you view the template that was used for the deployment?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

1. View template from deployment history

Go to the resource group for your new resource group. Notice that the portal shows the result of the last deployment. Select this link.

2. You see a history of deployments for the group. In your case, the portal probably lists only one deployment. Select this deployment.

The portal displays a summary of the deployment. The summary includes the status of the deployment and its operations and the values that you provided for parameters. To see the template that you used for the deployment, select View template.

You can find the template in the RG1 blade.

Haha, who would even consider C) Storage1 or D) Container1? Those are clearly not the right places to look.

B) VM1 is the obvious choice here. Where else would you expect to find the deployment template?

Definitely B) VM1. The question states that the VM1 and Storage2 were deployed using a single template, so that's where you'd find it.

I think the correct answer is B) VM1. That's where you can view the deployment template.

I’m a bit confused; I thought the storage account would hold the template, but now I’m leaning towards RG1 after reviewing some notes.

I feel like the answer could be VM1 since it's a specific resource, but I also recall something about checking the resource group for templates.

I remember practicing a similar question where we had to find deployment templates. I think it was related to the VM or the resource group.

I think we might need to check the resource group blade, but I'm not entirely sure if it's RG1 or something else.

I'm pretty sure the template info will be on the resource group blade, since that's where you can see all the resources that were deployed together.

I agree, RG1 seems logical. All resources are there.

I think it's RG1. Makes sense to check the resource group first.

Okay, I've got a strategy. I'll start by looking at the VM1 blade, since that's one of the new resources that was deployed. If I can't find the template info there, I'll check the Storage2 blade next.

Hmm, I'm a bit confused. Do I need to look at the resource group that contains the new resources, or can I find the template info directly on the new VM or Storage account?

I think I can handle this one. The key is to look for the resource that was deployed using the template, so I'll check the blades for the new VM and Storage account.
