I’m a bit confused about the MAC address part. I thought the router ID was determined by the highest IP address on an active interface, but I could be wrong.
This looks like a question about Azure governance and compliance. I think Azure Policy is the way to go here - it allows you to define and enforce standards across your Azure resources.
From my notes, I believe the auditor under the Yellow Book does have greater reporting responsibilities due to additional compliance requirements, but I'm torn between a couple of options here.
This makes sense. Excluding probing clients and enabling Location MAC Filtering will give us the location analytics we need for the associated clients.
