I think we practiced a question similar to this, and I recall that breaking sessions into 30 to 120 minutes might be the best balance for focus and flexibility.
I'm leaning towards option B as well. It provides a good balance between structure and flexibility, which I think is key for effective exploratory testing. The 30-120 minute sessions sound about right to me.
Option A seems way too restrictive to me. Exploratory testing is supposed to be flexible and allow testers to follow their instincts. Limiting it to 10-minute sessions with detailed mission statements feels like it would stifle the process.
I'm a bit confused by this question. Isn't the whole point of exploratory testing to be, well, exploratory? Option D seems to suggest that it's not really manageable, but I'm not sure I agree with that.
I think option B sounds like the best approach. Breaking the testing into manageable sessions with clear mission statements seems like a good way to keep the exploration focused.
