Actual exam question for HP's HPE7-A01 exam
Question #: 4
Topic #: 6
[All HPE7-A01 Questions]

With the Aruba CX 6200 24G switch with uplinks or 1/1/25 and 1/1/26, how do you protect client ports from forming layer-2 loops?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

The command loop-protect enables loop protection on each layer 2 interface (port, LAG, or VLAN) for which loop protection is needed. Loop protection can find loops in untagged layer 2 links, as well as on tagged VLANs.

Not sure about that, I thought loop-guard was the standard.

I’m a bit confused about the interface range; I thought it was 1/1/1-1/1/24, but what about the uplinks?

I feel like option A is the right choice since it mentions loop-protect for the correct range of interfaces.

I think we practiced a question similar to this, and I recall that loop-protect was specifically for client ports.

I remember studying loop protection, but I’m not sure if it’s loop-protect or loop-guard that we need to use here.

I'm not too familiar with Aruba switches, but based on the information provided, I think the best approach would be to use the loop-protect feature on the client ports, which is option A.

Okay, let me think this through. The question mentions the Aruba CX 6200 switch with uplink ports 1/1/25 and 1/1/26. So the client ports would be 1/1/1 to 1/1/24. I'm pretty confident the answer is A.

Wait, I'm a bit confused. Shouldn't we be using loop-guard instead of loop-protect? I'm not sure about the difference between the two.

Hmm, this seems straightforward. I think the answer is A - enabling loop-protect on the client ports.

Hmm, I'm a bit confused by the code. I'll need to walk through it step-by-step to understand how the different options might work.

Okay, let's see. Eliminating single points of failure, testing failover, and having good documentation - those seem like the key things to focus on here.

The key here is to focus on the specific question being asked. The question is asking for the command to view all tables, so I'm going with A - "show tables;".
