Avaya Exam 72301X Topic 4 Question 46 Discussion

Actual exam question for Avaya's 72301X exam
Question #: 46
Topic #: 4
[All 72301X Questions]

When a customer calls voicemail to retrieve their messages they hear ''Hello, to access your mailbox...''

instead of the users named followed by ''please enter your password...''.

After troubleshooting you discover that the Caller ID is not being sent correctly, therefore Avaya Aura

Messaging (AAM) is not able to identify the correct mailbox associated with the station number calling into

AAM.

How can this problem be fixed?

Option B all the way, baby! Looks like the AAM web GUI is the place to be. I bet the dev who came up with that feature was just sittin' back, thinkin', 'Yep, this is gonna save a lot of headaches.'

I'm gonna go with option B. Seems like the most straightforward solution, and I don't want to risk breaking anything with those fancy digit conversion adapters. Besides, who has time to read all that technical mumbo-jumbo anyway?

Wait, did they say the trunk group is public? Then option D is the way to go. Gotta love those Avaya Aura tricks!

Option C looks interesting, but it might be overkill for this problem. Changing the clid-numbering form seems like the simpler solution, so I'd probably go with option A.

Yeah, option C might be too complex for this problem. Option A is the way to go.

Hmm, looks like the problem is with the Caller ID not being sent correctly. I think I'd go with option B and use the AAM web GUI to create a caller ID modification rule. That seems like the most straightforward way to fix this issue.

Let's go ahead and access Administration > Messaging > Telephone Integration in the AAM web GUI to write the caller ID modification rule.

I'm not sure, but maybe using AAM web GUI to write a caller ID modification rule could also work.

I think the problem can be fixed by changing clid-numbering 0 SAT form to send the correct CLID.
