I'm a bit worried about option C. Some VM data being unavailable? That's not the point of RAID-5, is it? I'll have to go with D on this one.

I think option D makes more sense. The data components should just be marked as degraded.

I agree, option C doesn't sound right. RAID-5 should still provide data availability.

Haha, option A is funny. Adaptive RAID-5? That's not a thing! I'll go with the degraded data option.

Option B doesn't seem right. VMware HA is for VM migration, not RAID-5 data placement. I'm going with D.

I'm confident that D is the best choice. The data components will be marked as degraded during the failure.

Yes, I also think D is the correct answer. The data components will be marked as degraded on the hosts.

Yes, D makes sense. The data components will be marked as degraded when the ESXi host is unavailable.

I agree, VMware HA is not related to RAID-5 data placement. D seems like the correct option.

I think option D is correct. When an ESXi host fails, vSAN will mark the data components on that host as degraded, but the data will still be accessible through the RAID-5 configuration.

I'm not sure, but I think C could also be a possibility, some VM data might be unavailable until the failed ESXi host is recovered.
