I'm a bit confused on this one. I was thinking D - Ask binary questions might be the way to go, to keep things direct and see how the candidate handles more closed-ended prompts. But I could be off base here.
I'm leaning towards A - Suggest answers. That way you can gauge how the candidate reacts and see if they can pick up on the underlying empathy cues. The other options seem a bit too passive.
Definitely C - Encourage stories. That's the classic approach for evaluating empathy. Get the candidate to share personal experiences and see how they describe the emotions involved.
Hmm, I'm not sure about this one. I was thinking maybe B - Ask long questions, to really get a sense of how the candidate responds. But C could work too.
