I'd go with option C. Applying the right user mappings sounds like the most straightforward way to fix this issue. Though I can't help but wonder if the admin secretly hopes for a teleportation device to bypass this whole setup.

Clearly, the admin needs to apply the appropriate user mappings. It's the only sane solution, unless they want to start resetting passwords and dancing the permission set tango.
