Yeah, B and C make sense. A and D are more about querying or accessing metadata in Salesforce specifically, not really about building a data dictionary.

I think it's B and C - DDL is definitely used for defining data structures, and ERDs are the visual way to show how entities relate to each other.

B and C for sure. This is a straightforward data modeling question. DDL defines the schema, ERD visualizes the relationships. That's textbook data dictionary stuff.

Hmm, I'm second-guessing myself. Could it be A and D since it mentions Salesforce applications? But no, those are query and API tools, not really for *building* a dictionary... I'll stick with B and C.

Definitely B and C. DDL is literally what you use to define data structures, and ERDs are the visual representation everyone uses in data modeling. The Salesforce-specific tools wouldn't be "common techniques" across different systems.

Wait, is it asking about Salesforce specifically or just general data dictionary techniques? Because SOQL and Metadata API are Salesforce tools, but the question says "common techniques" which sounds more generic. I'm leaning toward B and C.

I think it's B and C – a data definition language makes sense for defining the structure, and an entity relationship diagram shows how entities relate to each other. That seems like the classic data dictionary approach.
