Salesforce ADX-201 Exam - Topic 8 Question 89 Discussion

Actual exam question for Salesforce's ADX-201 exam
Question #: 89
Topic #: 8
[All ADX-201 Questions]

An administrator at AW Computing has been asked to help the Support team with report folders. They want a folder called Support Reports and two folders underneath called Helpdesk and R&D. The Support organization uses public groups for Support Agents, R&D, and Managers. Support agents should be able to run Helpdesk reports, but should not be able to view R&D reports. Support managers should be able to view and edit all reports.

Which two ways should these folders be shared?

Is it really safe to give managers edit access? Sounds risky!

I think B is also needed for agents to see Helpdesk reports.

Wait, why can't agents see R&D reports? Seems odd.

I recall that we need to be careful with permissions. Sharing the Helpdesk folder with Support Agents makes sense, but I can't remember if they should see anything from R&D.

I think we discussed that sharing the Support Reports folder with Support Managers is crucial, but I'm confused about whether Support Agents should have access to it too.

I'm not entirely sure, but I feel like Support Agents should only have View access to the Helpdesk folder. That seems to fit the requirements.

I remember we practiced a similar question about folder sharing and permissions. I think Support Managers need Edit access for the R&D folder, right?

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about how to handle the access permissions. Do we need to set different levels of access for the different groups?

Yes, that's correct. I'm thinking we'll need to share the folders with the appropriate groups to meet those requirements.

Alright, I'm with you so far. And the Support Managers need to be able to view and edit all the reports, right?

Okay, let's see... We need to create a Support Reports folder, and then two subfolders for Helpdesk and R&D. The Support Agents need access to the Helpdesk folder, but not the R&D folder.

Hmm, this one seems straightforward. I think I'll start by mapping out the folder structure and access requirements.

I agree with Lettie. Support Agents need access to Helpdesk reports but not R&D reports.

Haha, this is like a game of folder Tetris. Gotta fit all the pieces in the right places. I'd say B and C are the winning combo.

Wait, why would we give managers edit access to the Support Reports folder? Isn't that a bit overkill? I'd go with B and D instead.

Yeah, I think giving Support Agents view access to Helpdesk reports and Support Reports folder makes more sense.

I think we should share the R&D folder with Support Managers with Edit Access.

Totally agree with Gail. B and C make the most sense to me as well. Gotta keep those R&D reports secure!

Hmm, I think B and C are the way to go. Support agents need access to Helpdesk reports, and managers should be able to view and edit all reports.
