[All PMI-SP Questions]

Steve is the project manager for the POK Project. He is working with the project customers to determine how frequently they'd like to receive the project information. The customers would like weekly status reports on how the project is performing. Where should Steve document this information?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

The float for Activity I is three days. The early start for Activity I is Day 17 and the late start for

Activity I is Day 20. Therefore, the difference of

the early start and the late start reveals the float as three days. It is possible, and acceptable, to use

the difference of the early finish and the late finish to find the float, as the value will be the same

amount. Answer options B, D, and C are incorrect. These are not the valid calculation for the total

float.

I’m surprised they want weekly updates, that seems excessive!

I keep mixing up the issues log and the communications plan. I feel like the issues log is for tracking problems, not communication preferences.

I practiced a similar question where we had to decide on documentation for stakeholder communication. I believe it was the communications management plan then too.

I’m not so sure about that. I remember something about the project schedule being important for tracking deliverables, but I can’t recall if it’s the right choice here.

I think the communications management plan is the right place for this. It’s where we outline how and when to communicate with stakeholders, right?

Okay, let me see if I can break this down. The question is asking where Steve should document the customer's request for weekly status reports. That sounds like it belongs in the communications management plan, so I'm going to go with option A.

Hmm, I'm a little unsure about this one. Is it possible the answer could be the schedule management plan, since that's where you might document the reporting requirements? I'll have to think this through carefully.

This seems like a straightforward question about project management documentation. I think the answer is the communications management plan, since that's where you would document the frequency of status reports.

I'm feeling pretty confident about this one. The key information is that the customers want weekly status reports, so that communication requirement should be documented in the communications management plan. I'm going to select option A.

This seems straightforward. The runtime identity could be trying to open files that the user doesn't have access to, or it might not be handling an additional sign-in UI element correctly. I'll make sure to select those two options.

Hmm, I'm not sure about this one. I'll need to think it through carefully. Maybe I should try option B and talk to the system administrator first.

I usually link tuples to lists, but now that I think about it, aren't lists similar to arrays in JSON? I might go with that.

A weekly status report? Sounds like the customers want to micromanage this project! But I guess A is the right answer here.
