D seems off, IETF doesn't exclusively maintain OSI.

I vaguely recall that the IETF is involved with TCP/IP, but I don't think they exclusively maintain the OSI model, so D seems off to me.

I practiced a question similar to this, and I think the OSI model is actually more complex than TCP/IP, which makes me doubt C.

The OSI model is more complex than TCP/IP, so C is definitely not correct. I'm confident A is the right choice here.

Option B can't be right since OSI protocols are still used, even if TCP/IP is more dominant. I'm leaning towards A as the best answer.

I'm a bit confused on the relationship between OSI and TCP/IP. I'll need to review my notes to make sure I have the details right.

The OSI model was developed as an open standard, so I think option A is the correct answer. TCP/IP ended up being more widely adopted, but the OSI model is still relevant.

This question is like asking which came first, the chicken or the egg? OSI and TCP/IP have a long and tangled history.
