Actual exam question for Microsoft's AZ-801 exam
Question #: 21
Topic #: 13
[All AZ-801 Questions]

Your network contains a single-domain Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) forest named contoso.com. The functional level of the forest is Windows Server 2012 R2. All domain controllers run Windows Server 2012 R2.

Sysvol replicates by using the File Replication Service (FRS).

You plan to replace the existing domain controllers with new domain controllers that will run Windows Server 2022.

You need to ensure that you can add the first domain controller that runs Windows Server 2022.

Solution; You raise the domain and forest functional levels.

I thought you could just add the new DC without raising levels?

I believe the answer is "No" because we need to migrate from FRS to DFSR before we can raise the functional levels.

I'm a bit confused. Does raising the functional levels automatically mean we can add a new DC, or are there other steps involved?

I remember a practice question where we had to upgrade from FRS to DFSR first before raising the functional levels. That might be relevant here.

I think raising the domain and forest functional levels is necessary, but I'm not sure if it alone allows adding a Windows Server 2022 DC since FRS is still in use.

This is a tricky one. I'd want to make sure I understand the root cause of the false positives before deciding on a course of action.

This is a tricky one. I'm not totally confident, but I think the answer might be B. The ":default=there" part seems to be there to provide a default value if the First Name field is empty, so that makes the most sense to me.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. The options seem to cover different aspects of Incident management, but I'm not sure which one best describes the overall purpose. I'll have to think about this one a bit more.

This seems like a tricky one. I'll need to think through the different configuration options and how they might impact the behavior.
