You have an Azure subscription named Subscription1 that is used be several departments at your company. Subscription1 contains the resources in the following table:

Another administrator deploys a virtual machine named VM1 and an Azure Storage account named Storage2 by using a single Azure Resource Manager template.

You need to view the template used for the deployment.

From which blade can you view the template that was used for the deployment?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

1. View template from deployment history

Go to the resource group for your new resource group. Notice that the portal shows the result of the last deployment. Select this link.

2. You see a history of deployments for the group. In your case, the portal probably lists only one deployment. Select this deployment.

The portal displays a summary of the deployment. The summary includes the status of the deployment and its operations and the values that you provided for parameters. To see the template that you used for the deployment, select View template.

D) Container1 doesn’t fit either. It’s not related to the deployment template.

C) Storage1 seems unlikely. Storage accounts don’t show deployment templates.

I agree with Royal. RG1 is where all resources are managed.

I feel like B) VM1 could be the right choice. The VM might have deployment details.

I think the answer is A) RG1. It makes sense to check the resource group.

Definitely RG1. All deployments are tracked there.

Storage1 is irrelevant here. Focus on the resource group.

I doubt it. VM1 is just a VM, not the deployment details.

But what about VM1? It could have the template too.

RG1? That's surprising, I would have guessed Container1!

You can find the template in the RG1 blade.

I thought we could find the deployment template in the storage account blade, but now I'm questioning if it's actually in RG1.

I'm a bit confused. Could it be under VM1 since it's a virtual machine? I feel like I need to double-check that.

I remember practicing a similar question where we had to find deployment templates. I think it was always in the resource group section.

I think we might need to look at the resource group blade, but I'm not entirely sure if it's RG1 or another one.
