The lifecycle phase is also a guess at this point.

I’m surprised they’d even create a report without knowing the cause.

Wait, how can you not have steps to reproduce?

Totally agree, the defect type is still unknown.

Can't know the actual cause yet, right?

I feel like we practiced a similar question, and I think steps to reproduce should be included, but I’m not entirely confident about that.

If I recall correctly, the type of defect should be identified later in the investigation, so that one might not be in the report yet.

I think the expected result might be hard to define at this stage too, but I'm not completely sure about that.

I remember we discussed that the actual cause of the failure can't be known yet, since the report is still in the "new" state.

I'm a little confused by this question. I'll need to re-read the scenario and think through the typical contents of an incident report at different stages. Hopefully, I can narrow down the options and make an educated guess.

This seems like a straightforward question, but I want to make sure I don't miss anything. I'll review each option carefully and double-check my work before submitting my answer.

Okay, I've got a strategy for this. I'll start by considering what the tester would have observed and documented in the initial incident report. Then I'll compare that to the options provided to determine which three can't be present yet.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. I'll need to think through the different stages of the incident report lifecycle and what information would typically be available at the "new" state.

This question seems straightforward. I'll need to carefully review the options and identify the three pieces of information that can't be present in the incident report at this stage.

Hmm, this is a tricky one. I'm not totally sure, but I think the Paperwork Reduction Act might be the right answer since it deals with how the government handles information.

This reminds me of that time I tried to debug my code while sleepwalking. The type of defect, the actual cause, and the steps to reproduce were all a mystery to me until I woke up the next morning. Ah, the joys of software testing!

I'm going with the lifecycle phase, the actual cause, and the steps to reproduce as the missing pieces. The tester is still in the investigation phase, so they're probably just trying to figure out what went wrong before they can dive into the nitty-gritty. Kinda like trying to find Waldo in a Where's Waldo book – it takes time, but the payoff is worth it!

Hmm, I'd say the expected result, the actual cause, and the steps to reproduce are the ones that can't be included yet. The tester is just getting started, so they probably don't have all the information they need. This is like a mystery novel, but with more bugs than murder!

I believe the steps to reproduce the failure are crucial to include in the incident report for further investigation.

The type of defect, the actual cause, and the lifecycle phase where the defect was introduced can't yet be present in the incident report since it's in the 'new' state and needs to be investigated further. Bummer, I was hoping for some juicy details right off the bat!
