Actual exam question for GAQM's CDCS-001 exam
Question #: 9
Topic #: 7
[All CDCS-001 Questions]

Which type of power can be a source available to the data center that takes over the function of supplying when utility power is unavailable?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

Whenever electrical power is being consumed in an IT room or data center, heat is generated. This heat must be removed in order to maintain an optimal temperature for the equipment, and this is usually done through cooling systems such as air conditioning, air economization, liquid cooling, evaporative cooling, and immersion cooling.

Alternate power sounds familiar, but I don't think it fits the context of taking over when utility power fails.

I feel like Active power was mentioned in relation to continuous supply, but I'm leaning towards Standby for this question.

This seems like a straightforward question about the typical job roles that would interact with a Salesforce B2B Commerce storefront. I'll need to think through the key users and their responsibilities.

Hmm, I'm not too familiar with EFT, so I'll have to think this through. Let me re-read the question and options to make sure I understand.

Standby power? More like 'Sit-and-Wait-by' power, am I right?

I'm going with B) Passive. It's the power that's just chilling in the background, waiting for its moment to shine. Just like me during the work day.

Hmm, I'm leaning towards D) Alternate. That just sounds like it would be the correct term for a backup power source in a data center.
