This is a classic LTM question, Client SSL all the way. Now, if only I could remember how to configure the ciphers and protocols...

Haha, I bet the developer is just trying to make the LTM Specialist's life a little more exciting by adding the TLS requirement. But hey, at least it's not a SPDV profile, that would just be overkill!

Hmm, I was thinking the Rewrite profile might be needed to handle any URL transformations, but you're right, a Client SSL profile is the way to go here.

That's correct. The Client SSL profile will handle the TLS communication between the LTM system and the application servers.

I think both Server SSL and Client SSL may be needed, depending on the specific requirements of the application.

But the application developer mentioned TLS for communication, so Server SSL makes more sense.

Option C is definitely the correct answer. You need a Client SSL profile to establish a secure connection between the BIG-IP and the backend servers.

No, Server SSL is for incoming client connections. We only need Client SSL for backend server communication.
