TRUE OR FALSE?: Linear mode is a default test generation mode that enables the combinatorial test data generator to be provided with an integer argument to define the number of variables combined.
Hold up, is this a trick question? I mean, who even uses 'linear mode' anymore? Real pros just let the computer figure out the optimal combination size. *chuckles* These exam writers need to get with the times.
Hmm, I'm going to have to go with False on this one. Linear mode sounds more like it's for, well, linear scaling, not defining the combination size. The test generator needs to be a little more explicit about that.
False. I'm pretty sure linear mode is just for linearly increasing the number of variables combined, not defining it directly. Gotta love these tricky wording questions!
True! I remember learning about that in my test generation course. Combinatorial testing is the way to go, especially when you have a lot of variables to consider.
