Which color control was adjusted in color bar A to produce color bar B?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

The color bar on a Doppler ultrasound display indicates the range of velocities that the system can detect and display. In color bar A, the scale is set to a higher maximum velocity (64 cm/s), while in color bar B, the scale is set to a lower maximum velocity (16 cm/s). Adjusting the scale (or velocity range) changes the upper and lower limits of the velocities displayed, which affects the sensitivity of the Doppler system to detect flow velocities. Lowering the scale allows for better visualization of lower velocities, but it may also increase the likelihood of aliasing for higher velocities.

Wait, are we sure it’s not Baseline? That’s unexpected!

I have a vague memory of the Map control being used in similar questions, but I can't recall if it applies here.

I remember discussing the Invert control in class, but I don't think that's what we adjusted in this case.

This reminds me of a practice question where we had to identify color adjustments too. I feel like Scale might be the right answer here.

I think we adjusted the Baseline control for this kind of question, but I'm not entirely sure.

I've got a good feeling about this. Based on the changes I see, I think the answer is pretty clear. I'll mark my choice and move on to the next question.

I'm not totally sure about this one. I'll need to take a closer look at the color bars and think through the possible adjustments that could have been made.

Okay, I see the difference between the two color bars. I think I know which control was adjusted, but I want to double-check my reasoning before answering.

Hmm, this looks like a tricky one. I'll need to carefully compare the two color bars to figure out which control was adjusted.

This is a tricky one, but I'm going with C) Map. Remapping the color values has to be the way they made that transformation.

Maybe it's B) Scale, adjusting the scale could have done it.

I agree with Ozell, the colors seem inverted to me as well.

D) Invert seems like the right answer here. Flipping the colors around is the only way I can see to get from A to B.

Hmm, that's an interesting point. I still think it's Scale.

Hmm, I think it's gotta be B) Scale. Adjusting the scale would definitely change the appearance of the color bars.
