In an agile context, the Scrum Master embodies servant leadership, coaching the team and the organization to apply Scrum effectively. Their accountability is to establish and uphold Scrum's empirical approach---transparency, inspection, and adaptation---by ensuring events, artifacts, and values are understood and used as intended.
