Actual exam question for VMware's 5V0-21.21 exam
Question #: 46
Topic #: 7
[All 5V0-21.21 Questions]

An architect is reviewing a vSAN cluster that has an unbalanced cluster configuration.

Which behavior will the architect observe?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

40GB x 1000VMs = 40 000 GB total max expected usage 40 000GB / 5 node cluster = 8000 GB per node cache should be 10% so 800GB SSD is needed. However this question is stupid from real life perspective. one host can run up to 200 VMs - so what with MM, any failure ? Cluster should be sized with 6 ESXi hosts minumim

I thought A would be a problem too, but B is clearer.

Wait, faster rebuild times? That sounds off.

C could be a factor too, but B seems more likely.

Definitely B, unbalanced clusters mess with performance.

I thought faster rebuild times were a benefit of a well-balanced cluster, but I’m not confident about how it relates to this question.

I practiced a similar question, and I think the performance predictability is definitely affected in an unbalanced setup. So, B feels like a solid answer.

I’m not entirely sure, but I feel like reduced deduplication capabilities could be a factor too. It seems related to how data is distributed.

I remember reading that an unbalanced vSAN cluster can lead to unpredictable performance, so I think option B might be the right choice.

I feel pretty confident about this one. An unbalanced vSAN cluster is going to impact storage performance, so I'm going to go with the option that talks about reduced predictability. That seems like the most likely outcome.

Okay, I've got a good strategy here. I'll review what I know about vSAN and how an unbalanced configuration can affect things like predictability, deduplication, and rebuild times. That should help me narrow down the right answer.

Hmm, I'm a little unsure about this one. I know unbalanced clusters can cause issues, but I'm not totally clear on the specific behaviors I should expect. I'll need to think it through carefully.

This one seems pretty straightforward. I'm going to focus on the key details about the unbalanced cluster configuration and think about how that might impact storage performance.

Hmm, this seems straightforward. I think the answer is /etc/inittab.

Okay, let me think this through. The question is asking for the correct command to start the agent, so I'll need to look for the command that includes the agent name and port. I'm leaning towards option D.

Modeling seems like the most relevant approach to me. We need to simulate the effects of the change to properly evaluate it.

I'm a little confused by the options here. A workbook, a security policy, and adaptive network hardening don't seem like the right solutions for this specific problem. I think I'm going to go with the logic app, but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm torn between options A and B. I know both change management and executive backing are essential in my studies, but I can't pinpoint which is more important.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this. Do we need to consider any other factors besides the 90th and 95th percentile latency numbers? I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Reduced deduplication? That's a bummer. I wonder if the cluster is going to start sounding like a broken record player. I'll go with C.

Hmm, an unbalanced vSAN cluster? I bet the architect is in for a wild ride. 'Reduced predictability of storage performance' sounds like the way to go here.
