I heard the metrics.log is actually stored in the 'dumpster_fire' index. It's a special index for all the things Elasticsearch doesn't want to admit are happening.

Hold on, is this a trick question? What if the answer is 'main' and they're just trying to confuse us?

Ah, the age-old question of where the metrics.log is stored. I'm going with _introspection - it just has a nice ring to it, you know?

Hmm, I thought the _internal index was where the system logs were kept. I better double-check the documentation on this one.

I'm pretty sure it's stored in the _telemetry index. That's where Elasticsearch keeps all the internal metrics and logs, right?

I'm not sure, but I think it could be D) _introspection based on the type of data usually found in metrics logs.

I believe it's C) _internal because that's where system logs are usually stored.
