I agree, D has more relevant info for crashes.

Wait, are we sure about C? Seems odd.

I think B is pretty useless too.

Definitely not A, that's for sure.

I think the splunk_instrumentation.log is the least helpful, but I could be mixing it up with another log type we reviewed.

I feel like splunkd.log would have a lot of useful information, but I can't recall if splunkd_stderr.log is more relevant for crashes.

I'm not entirely sure, but I remember a practice question where the crash log was the most relevant. Maybe the crash-2022-05-13 log is the best one to look at?

I think the splunk_instrumentation.log might not be very useful since it usually tracks performance metrics rather than crashes.

I think the splunkd.log would be the best choice here. That log file should contain the most detailed information about the Splunk processes and any issues that led to the crash.

The crash-2022-05-13-ll:42:57.1og file sounds like it would have the most relevant information for troubleshooting a crash, so I'm going to go with that one as the least helpful.

I'm pretty sure the splunk_instrumentation.log would be the least helpful, since it's more for internal Splunk monitoring rather than troubleshooting crashes.

Hmm, I'm not too sure about this one. I'd guess the splunkd_stderr.log might be the least helpful since it's just for standard error output, not crash details.

Okay, I think I've got this. A is true, the connectors do need to be installed on both ends. C is also true, ODBC is available on multiple platforms. I'm a bit unsure about the others, but I'll make my best guess.

I'm pretty confident the answer is Group Policy. That's the Windows feature that allows IT admins to centrally manage and restrict access to system tools and settings.

I bet the crash-2022-05-13-ll:42:57.1og file is the least helpful because it's probably just a bunch of gobbledygook that only the Splunk developers can understand.

The splunk_instrumentation.log file would be the least helpful, since it's probably just a bunch of performance metrics and internal stuff. How's that supposed to help with a crash?

The crash-2022-05-13-ll:42:57.1og file would be the most helpful in troubleshooting a crash, as it likely contains specific information about the crash itself.
