I remember discussing the importance of roles in accessing confidential data, but I can't recall if it was the Profile Writer or Reader that had the minimum access.

I'm leaning towards option D. Automating at the component level only and creating customized hooks seems like the most efficient approach, especially given the incremental nature of the release.
