Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

The Sprint Goal is a short statement that gives the Sprint a purpose, direction, and focus. It is created by the entire Scrum Team during Sprint Planning, based on the Product Owner's draft and the Developers' input. The Sprint Goal is then added to the Sprint Backlog and guides the Developers' work during the Sprint.

Wait, can it really be made at any time during the Sprint? That seems odd.

I remember learning that the Sprint Goal is established before Sprint Planning, during the Product Backlog refinement process. So I think option B is the correct answer here.

Hmm, I'm a bit confused on this one. I thought the Sprint Goal was optional, not mandatory. But I could be wrong. I'll have to review the Scrum Guide to be sure.

I'm pretty confident the Sprint Goal is created during Sprint Planning. That's when the team plans out the work for the upcoming Sprint, so it makes sense to define the goal at that time.

Okay, let me think this through. I know the Sprint Goal is an important part of Scrum, so it has to be created at a specific time. I'm leaning towards option D, "During Sprint Planning."

Option E seems a bit too easy. If we could create the Sprint Goal at any time, why bother with the Sprint Planning process at all?

I disagree with option A. A Sprint Goal is definitely mandatory in Scrum. How else would we know what we're trying to achieve in the Sprint?
