Actual exam question for Scrum's PSM-II exam
Question #: 23
Topic #: 1
[All PSM-II Questions]

Currently, your engineering department is organized in siloed teams that specialize by function (for example, design, front-end, back-end, database, and testing).

What would you consider when moving away from component teams towards feature teams?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: C

The initial phase of forming a new team could cause short-term disruption as they need time to discover how to best work together. Because all the skills and competencies are inside the team the communication overhead is reduced. Having an environment that supports the Scrum values reduces complexity.

I definitely remember that getting buy-in from the business side is crucial for a smooth transition, but I wonder how often that actually happens in practice.

I think I read somewhere that moving to feature teams might slow things down at first, but it could lead to better long-term results.

I remember discussing how feature teams can improve collaboration, but I'm not sure if they really reduce communication complexity as much as we think.

I feel like the mix of junior and senior members in feature teams is important, but I can't recall if personality compatibility is really a factor we covered.

Okay, let's break this down step-by-step. First, I'll check if the target application has changed, then look at the Intelligent Wait stages, and finally review the exception handling. Gotta cover all the bases on this one.

This one seems pretty straightforward. I think the answer is to add the [PREVIEW] prefix to the subject line validation list.

I'm a little confused by the terminology in this question. I'll need to review my notes on production planning and control to make sure I understand the relationships between these different concepts.
