If the answer isn't 'The Borg', I'm going to be very disappointed. I mean, come on, SAP might as well be a collective of cybernetic organisms working towards total domination of the enterprise software market.
Controlling area? Really? That sounds more like an accounting thing than an organizational structure. But hey, maybe SAP is trying to get all fancy on us. I'll give it a shot, just to keep them on their toes.
Hmm, I'm going to go with operating concern. It just sounds like the kind of high-level, corporate-sounding term that SAP would use for their top-level organizational unit. Plus, it has the word 'concern' in it, which is always a good sign.
I'm pretty sure the answer is company code. That's the core financial unit, right? Unless SAP has completely revamped their entire structure, which would be just like them.
