Option C might work, but I'm not sure a validation rule is the best solution here. Wouldn't it be better to have the date calculated automatically?

I think option B is the way to go. A formula field to calculate the expiration date based on the warranty purchased date seems the most straightforward approach.

I think adding a validation rule to ensure the Expiration Date field is populated would also be a good idea to prevent any missing information.

I agree with Isadora. It would ensure that the expiration date is always captured accurately.
