Option D is the way to go. Hiding the extra fields is the most user-friendly approach. Who wants to fill out a million fields just to create a new Opportunity?

Haha, Option A is like, 'Hey, let's just automatically fill in the Opportunity type! What could possibly go wrong?' Classic Salesforce shenanigans.

I'm not sure about Option C. Sharing rules for a new record? Sounds a bit like a hack to me. I'd go with Option B - different layouts for different user profiles.

Option D seems the most straightforward. Just hide the extra fields and let users expand them as needed. Simple and effective!

I see both points, but I think option D could also work. Hiding additional sections until users manually expand them could simplify the initial form.

I disagree, I believe option B is more user-friendly. Different page layouts based on user profile would make it easier for users to navigate.

I think option A is the best choice. It makes sense to automate filling in the Opportunity type field.
