D. Transparent Data Encryption is the way to go. You can never be too careful when it comes to protecting customer data. Plus, it's the most comprehensive option, so it's a no-brainer.

I'm leaning towards B. Field-Level Encryption. That way, they can selectively encrypt sensitive fields without impacting the entire database. Seems like a more targeted approach.
