Northern Trail Outfitters is implementing drip feed dispatching. When testing the new functionality, the drip does not dispatch appointments as expected. A consultant is engaged to troubleshoot the issue.

What is preventing the drip feed from triggering?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B, D

These are two actions that can help ensure that the technician who performed a customer's initial installation is also assigned to subsequent service calls. A preferred resource is a resource that has a preference or affinity for working with a specific account or service territory. A preferred resource service objective is a service objective that prioritizes resources that are preferred for an account or service territory. By adding the technician as a preferred resource on the account record, and adding the preferred resource service objective to the scheduling policy, the system can assign the technician to future service appointments for that account.

I'm going with D. Sounds like a case of 'too many cooks in the kitchen' when it comes to dispatching appointments. Those other scheduled jobs need to chill and let the drip feed do its thing.

Haha, I bet the answer is A. The appointment status going from Scheduled to Completed? That sounds like a classic case of 'the dog ate my homework' excuse for why the drip feed isn't working.

This is a tricky one. I'd say B is the correct answer. If the status on completed appointments can only be Canceled, Completed, or Cannot Complete, then the drip feed might not be able to trigger properly.

I think you might be right. B does seem like a possible reason for the issue.

Hmm, I'm not sure. Maybe it's C? If the default drip feed setting is overriding the drip feed rate on a service territory, that could definitely cause issues with the drip feed functionality.

User 2: Yeah, that makes sense. It could be overriding the rate for that specific area.

I think the answer is D. If other scheduled jobs are dispatching appointments and exceeding the drip feed value, that would prevent the drip feed from triggering as expected. Makes sense to me.

I believe it could also be that other scheduled jobs are dispatching appointments and exceeding the drip feed value, causing the issue.

I agree with Luisa. The default setting could be causing the problem with the drip feed not triggering as expected.

I think the issue might be with the default drip feed setting overriding the rate on the service territory.
