Geolocation tracking is enabled for Universal Containers's Technicians but should only apply to full-time employees.

How can geolocation tracking for contractors be disabled?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

The Exclude Technician from Geolocation Tracking permission allows disabling geolocation tracking for specific service resources by assigning them a permission set with this permission. Setting the Geolocation Update Frequency field to zero for contractors would not disable geolocation tracking, but would make it update less frequently. Unchecking the Geocoding field on the Contractor's profile or the Collect Service Resource Geolocation History field in Field Service Mobile Settings would not affect geolocation tracking, as these are not related settings. I think A might work too, but not sure.

I thought we discussed the importance of permissions in a case like this. Option A seems off to me; setting the frequency to zero doesn't really disable tracking.

I vaguely recall that unchecking fields could be a way to disable features, but I’m not confident if it applies here.

I'm not entirely sure, but I feel like option D might be related to mobile settings. We practiced something similar in class.

I think option B sounds familiar. I remember something about permissions being a way to control access for different user types.
