Cloud Kicks has o custom object called Membership Details that records information about customers' preferences for their memberships. Depending, on the membership level, different data needs to be displayed.

* when cue running user has the Market no profile, all data should be visible.

* When the running user has the Support profile, only the Support preference fields should be visible.

* Both Marketing and Support users should be able to report on all data.

How should the administrator deliver this solution?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

Use Field-Level Security to control data access is how the administrator should deliver this solution. Field-Level Security is a way to restrict users' access to view or edit specific fields on an object based on their profile or permission set. Field-Level Security can be used to make fields visible or hidden, and editable or read-only for different users. By using Field-Level Security, the administrator can ensure that only Marketing users can see all data on the Membership Details object, while Support users can only see the Support preference fields.

Option B seems like the most straightforward solution. Dynamic forms are the way to go, unless the exam writers are trying to keep us on our toes with that 'Muting permission' thing.

But wouldn't setting up Dynamic forms also work to conditionally show data?

I'm with Lorrine on this one. Field-Level Security is the way to go. Although, I do wonder if the exam writers have a wicked sense of humor and are trying to trip us up with that 'Muting permission' option.

I agree with Torie, that way the data can be displayed based on the user's profile.

I think the administrator should create two record types and two page layouts.

I'd go with D. Field-Level Security is a powerful tool for this kind of use case. Plus, it's more robust than messing with page layouts.

Hmm, I'm not sure a permission set is the right solution here. Sounds like we need more granular control over field visibility.

B sounds good, but don't forget that Marketing and Support users should be able to report on all data. Might need to consider a combination of approaches.

I think option B is the way to go. Dynamic forms can really help with conditional field visibility based on user profiles.
