Salesforce ARC-801 Exam - Topic 1 Question 9 Discussion

Actual exam question for Salesforce's ARC-801 exam
Question #: 9
Topic #: 1
[All ARC-801 Questions]

Universal Containers (UC) is undergoing a full digital transformation and has chosen Salesforce as one of the main components. UC will use Sales Cloud for online activities, CPQ for quote generation and renewals. B2B Commerce for online orders through its partnerships and vendors, an external ERP for fulfillment and invoicing, and Marketing Cloud for customer outreach. UC wants to create fluidity between the entire application landscape, and an integration between systems is required.

The application is expected to be able to generate an order based on any of the channels outlined above, and be utilized in UC's outreach to its customers.

Where should a Solution Architect recommend the system of record (SOR) be for all orders going forward?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: C

This will ensure that all orders are stored in a single, unified database, and will make it easier to track and manage orders across different channels. Additionally, Salesforce Order Objects have built-in features that make it easy to integrate with ERP systems, B2B Commerce, and Marketing Cloud, allowing UC to create the desired fluidity between its application landscape.

Not so sure about that, the ERP might be better for fulfillment.

Custom Object could work too, but it feels risky.

I think the SOR should be the Salesforce Order Object.

I’m leaning towards the B2B Commerce Order Object since it’s designed for online orders, but I’m not entirely sure if that makes it the best SOR.

I think we practiced a similar question where the ERP was the SOR, but I’m not completely confident that’s the best choice here.

I remember we discussed the importance of having a single source of truth for orders, but I'm not sure if it should be in Salesforce or the ERP.

I feel like the B2B Commerce Order Object could work too, especially for online orders, but it might not cover all channels effectively.

I practiced a similar question where the SOR was in the ERP, but I wonder if that would complicate the integration with B2B Commerce.

I'm pretty sure the default Distribution mode is Auto-topology, but I'll double-check the course materials just to be sure.

Hmm, this seems like a tricky one. I'll need to think carefully about the factors that affect latency in a long-distance link.

I'm leaning towards option C, an auditor's initial notice of a potential nonconformance. It seems to fit what I've practiced on similar questions, but there was some overlap in the definitions we reviewed.

This seems like a pretty straightforward MPLS VPN question. I'd start by checking the RD and RT configurations on the PE routers to make sure they're set up correctly.
