I think the key here is that micro-segmentation reduces infrastructure needs. By only provisioning what's required for each workload, you can cut back on both hardware and data center costs. Seems pretty straightforward to me.
Okay, I've got this. Micro-segmentation allows you to isolate workloads, so you don't need as many physical servers. And you can run a smaller data center since you're not provisioning for maximum capacity across the whole network. Those are the two money-saving benefits.
Hmm, I'm not totally sure about this one. I know micro-segmentation has something to do with network security, but I'm not clear on how it saves money. I'll have to think this through carefully.
