Hmm, I'm a bit confused. I'm not sure if setting the locale on each record or calling the translate() method would actually work in this case since we're dealing with a multi-select picklist field. I'm leaning towards Option B as well, but I'll need to double-check the documentation to be sure.

If I recall correctly, I saw a case where the transcoder had to be installed at the remote site when bandwidth was limited. That might apply here too, especially for site B.
