Oracle 1Z0-822 Exam - Topic 5 Question 39 Discussion

Actual exam question for Oracle's 1Z0-822 exam
Question #: 39
Topic #: 5
[All 1Z0-822 Questions]

You administer a system with three nonglobal zones. All three-zones (z1, z2, and z3) use a common resource pool. The pool is a fixed, two-CPU configuration. The default scheduler is FSS. Zones z1 and z2 run applications that, over time, consume all available CPU resources. You have allotted 20 shares each to these zones. Zone z3 runs a mission-critical application, so you allotted it 60 shares. Because of application maintenance, zone z3 is currently using about 10% of the CPU resources in the shared pool. Which option describes the demand when available CPU resources are consumed by zones z1 and z2?

They should be limited by their shares, so not surprised by this setup.

Wait, are you sure they can go to 100%? Sounds risky!

Definitely going with option D here.

I think they’ll hit 100% before getting constrained.

Zones z1 and z2 will max out their shares first.

I feel like the answer might be D, but I need to double-check how the FSS scheduler handles resource allocation when zones are competing.

I think I practiced a similar question where the zones were constrained at their share limits, but I can't recall the exact percentages.

I remember something about how shares work in FSS, but I'm not sure if it's 60% or 90% for z1 and z2.

If z3 is only using 10%, then z1 and z2 should be able to take up to 100% of the remaining resources, right?

This seems pretty straightforward. I'm pretty confident I can figure this out.

Okay, I've got a plan. I'll export the .csv file first to see the data, then use the Upsert operation to update the Status field and add any new records. Gotta make sure the External Id field is mapped correctly.

I think we need to enable IPv6 forwarding on DSW1? But I'm not entirely sure which command that would be.
