Option B seems the most logical to me. Allocating backup resources upon failure for both protection and restoration makes sense in terms of resource utilization.
This question is a real head-scratcher! I'm going to have to think about it for a while. Maybe I'll just ask the network admin to fix it for me. (Just kidding, of course!)
I'm leaning towards Option D. Allocating backup resources upon failure for restoration, and pre-allocating them for protection, seems like a good balance between efficiency and reliability.
Option A seems like the right choice. Pre-allocating backup resources and using a 1+1 protection mechanism sounds like a robust way to increase network survivability.
