Suggested Answer: B

According to NFPA 1, Fire Code, a fire department access road must be provided so that any portion of an unsprinklered facility is no more than 150 feet (46 meters) from the access road. This requirement ensures that emergency responders can reach all parts of the building quickly and efficiently in the event of a fire or other emergency.

Hmm, I'm going with B. 150 ft (46 m). Anything longer and the firefighters might as well bring their hiking boots.

A. 50 ft (15 m) is way too short. Are they expecting the firefighters to jump out of the truck and sprint the rest of the way?

C. 300 ft (91 m) makes the most sense to me. Anything more than that and the fire department would be struggling to respond.

B) 150 ft (46 m) could work, but 300 ft (91 m) gives them more room to maneuver.

D. 450 ft (137 m) seems a bit excessive, don't you think? How are they supposed to get there in time?

C) 300 ft (91 m) is a bit farther, but still within the acceptable range for access road distance.

B) 150 ft (46 m) is also an option, but it may not be as ideal as 50 ft (15 m).
