I'm a bit confused on this one. I know SNMP is used for network monitoring, but I'm not sure which version would be best for strong authentication and encryption. I'll have to review my notes on the SNMP versions.
Okay, let me see. v1 and v2 don't have the security requirements, so it's between v3 and v2c. I think v3 is the better option since it's specifically designed for secure monitoring.

Yeah, v3 is the only option that provides the level of security the customer is looking for. I can't believe they even included the other outdated versions as options.
