Microsoft SC-300 Exam - Topic 6 Question 22 Discussion

Actual exam question for Microsoft's SC-300 exam
Question #: 22
Topic #: 6
[All SC-300 Questions]

You have a Microsoft 365 tenant.

All users must use the Microsoft Authenticator app for multi-factor authentication (MFA) when accessing Microsoft 365 services.

Some users report that they received an MFA prompt on their Microsoft Authenticator app without initiating a sign-in request.

You need to block the users automatically when they report an MFA request that they did not Initiate.

Solution: From the Azure portal, you configure the Account lockout settings for multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Does this meet the goal?

This is a solid approach for security, but it needs careful implementation.

Wait, are we really just blocking users without investigating?

I disagree, locking accounts might cause more issues for legit users.

Yes, that should help prevent unauthorized access.

I thought account lockout was more about failed sign-in attempts rather than MFA prompts, so I’m leaning towards "No" for this one.

I feel like blocking users for unsolicited MFA prompts might need a different approach, maybe something related to conditional access policies instead?

This seems similar to a practice question we did on MFA management, but I can't recall if lockout settings would actually block users in this scenario.

I think I remember something about account lockout settings, but I'm not entirely sure if they apply to MFA prompts like this.

I'm pretty confident the docker logs command is the right approach here. As long as the centralized logging solution is set up properly, that should be all that's needed to get the container logs exported there.

This seems like a tricky one. I'll need to carefully review the configuration on both the switch and CPPM to identify any mismatches in settings.

Hmm, this seems like a tricky one. I'll need to think carefully about the system requirements and performance factors involved.

I think I've got a strategy here. Using Nearline for the first 30 days, then Coldline for a year, and finally Archive storage for the remaining 2 years seems like it could minimize costs.
