Actual exam question for Microsoft's AZ-801 exam
Question #: 2
Topic #: 5
[All AZ-801 Questions]

You have an Azure virtual machine named VM1.

You install an application on VM1, and then restart the virtual machine.

After the restart, you get the following error message: ''Boot failure. Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device.''

You need to mount the operating system disk offline from VM1 to a temporary virtual machine to troubleshoot the issue.

Which command should you run in Azure CLI?

"az vm disk attach" seems like it could work, but I feel like that's more for attaching a disk rather than troubleshooting a boot failure.

I practiced a similar question where we had to enable boot diagnostics, but I don't think that's what we need here.

I think "az vm repair create" might be the right choice since it sounds like it deals with fixing boot issues, but I could be mixing it up with another command.

I remember something about using the Azure CLI to troubleshoot VM issues, but I'm not sure which command specifically deals with mounting disks.

Hmm, this one seems a bit tricky. I'm not entirely sure about the relationship between the Application Picker and Application Scope. I'll need to think it through and try to eliminate the options that don't seem quite right.

This looks like a straightforward question about software/hardware terminology. I'm pretty confident I know the difference between COTS, GOTS, and MOTS, so I'll give this a shot.

This looks like a tricky one. I'll need to carefully read through the details and think through the changes to the GSCs.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. I know there are different types of rules we can set up, like task rules and alert management rules, but I'm not 100% sure which one is used specifically for triggering workflows or generating tasks. I'll have to think this through carefully.

I'm a bit confused here. The networking is 10Gb, which seems pretty fast. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not sure which component is the most likely culprit for the performance problems.
