I’m pretty confident that /etc/shadow contains the hashed password, but I’m not clear on whether it includes anything else like SSH keys.

I think /etc/shadow definitely stores the hashed password, but I'm not sure about the other options.

I feel like the last login timestamp might be in /var/log/auth.log instead of /etc/shadow, but I can't recall for sure.

This question seems straightforward, but I want to double-check my understanding. I'm pretty sure Linux passwords can use MD5, SHA, DES, and Blowfish encryption, but I'll verify that before submitting my answer.

I'm a bit confused by all the Samba security options here. I'm not super familiar with Samba, so I'll have to do a quick review of the different security modes before answering this one.

I'm not entirely sure about the need for more upfront analysis. I feel like we practiced that but it could go either way.
