I always thought it was /etc/rc.d/rcinit, but I guess not!

Yup, /lib/init.so is not it.

Wait, is it really /sbin/init? I thought it was something else.

I have a vague memory of `/etc/rc.d/rcinit` being mentioned in class, but I don't think it's the first one.

I keep mixing up the paths, but I feel like `/lib/init.so` is not the right one.

I remember practicing a similar question, and I think `/sbin/init` was the correct answer there too.

I think the first program started by the kernel is usually `/sbin/init`, but I'm not completely sure.

I'm feeling pretty confident about this one. I think the best approach is to set a maximum number of connection attempts to 10, and then report an error if it can't connect after that (option E). That way, I'm not just retrying forever, but I'm also giving the database a chance to recover.

Hmm, I'm a bit confused by all the different configuration elements here. I'll need to review the documentation carefully to make sure I understand how they all work together.
