Question #: 58
Topic #: 7
[All JN0-664 Questions]

Which two statements are correct about reflecting inet-vpn unicast prefixes in BGP route reflection? (Select two.)

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A, B

Route reflection is a BGP feature that allows a router to reflect routes learned from one IBGP peer to another IBGP peer, without requiring a full-mesh IBGP topology. Route reflectors do not change any existing BGP attributes by default when advertising routes, unless explicitly configured to do so. A BGP peer does not require any configuration changes to become a route reflector client, only the route reflector needs to be configured with the client parameter under [edit protocols bgp group group-name neighbor neighbor-address] hierarchy level.

I feel like one of the correct statements could be related to how prefixes are advertised to clients, but I’m not confident about the second one.

I practiced a similar question last week, and I think it had to do with the roles of route reflectors and clients in the BGP topology.

I remember something about the importance of route reflection in preventing loops, but I can't recall the exact details.

I think one of the statements might be about how route reflectors can help reduce the number of BGP sessions, but I'm not entirely sure.

Ugh, I'm not sure I fully understand the nuances here. I better read the question carefully and try to recall the relevant BGP concepts.

Okay, let me think this through step-by-step. I'll need to consider the key characteristics of inet-vpn and how they relate to route reflection.

Hmm, this looks tricky. I'm a bit confused about the differences between inet-vpn and regular unicast prefixes in BGP.
