I've got a brilliant idea - let's just tell the hosts at Site 1 to use Bing instead of Google. That way, they won't need any Internet access at all! Problem solved.

Haha, I like the way you're thinking, Dorothea! Why complicate things when a default route will do the trick? Though I suppose the exam wants us to show our routing expertise. Anyway, I'm going with A and D.

Let's go with those then, sounds good to me.

Yeah, but showing our routing skills is important for the exam.

I agree with you, a default route is definitely the simpler option.

Hmm, I'm not convinced. Wouldn't it be better to leak a default route from the inet.0 table to the VPN-A.inet.0 table instead? That way the hosts at Site 1 can access the Internet without having to configure a bunch of static routes.

Lettie: Definitely. It's a more efficient way to provide Internet access for those hosts.

User 1: I think option C is correct. We should leak a default route from the inet.0 table to the VPN-A.inet.0 table.

Hold on, I'm not sure about that. Shouldn't we also configure a static route for the 203.0.113.1/32 prefix? That's the gateway for the Internet, right?

B) You must configure a static route in the main routing instance for the 203.0.113.1/32 prefix that uses the VPN-A.inet.0 table as the next hop.

I'm not sure about option C though. Do we really need to configure a RIB group on PE-1 to leak a default route?

I think options A and D are correct. We need to configure a static route for the 10.1.2.0/24 prefix in the main routing instance and also leak that prefix from the VPN-A.inet.0 table to the inet.0 table.

Great, so we should configure the static route and RIB group as mentioned in options A and D to ensure proper NAT services for the hosts.

That's correct, both options A and D mention the necessary steps for providing Internet access for the hosts at Site 1.

Yes, and we also need to leak that prefix from the VPN-A.inet.0 table to the inet.0 table.

I agree with you, Sylvia. Option B also seems correct as we need a static route for the 203.0.113.1/32 prefix.
